1. Belgo
Belgo is known for its delicious Belgian cuisine with a special emphasis on moules frites! With 7 different locations around the UK it's definitely a crowd pleaser. They have so many different dishes to choose from that there is bound to be something for everyone. There menu is full of sharing platters, burgers, steaks, salads and they even have a range of vegan dishes like vegetable casserole and beets salad. A kids menu is available for any family dinners and it's not just any old kids menu! Not only do they have a few basic dishes but for the more adventurous tastes they have a child's portion of the moules frites to expand their culinary appetite.
All in all it's a great way to get everyone together whether it's family, friends or colleagues and enjoy an evening with great atmosphere, food and company.
Weekend plans? After a delicious meal you can enjoy some drinks including beers, wine, cocktails and shots! In the words of Belgo…'feeling spiritual?' 2. Las Iguanas
Best known for its irresistible Latin energy and delicious dishes, Las Iguanas provides a fantastic atmosphere and will make you fall in love with new and creative Latin flavours! With over 50 restaurants around the UK and dishes ranging from Brazilian, Mexican, Argentinian, Peruvian and beyond! What's not to love?
There's always a little something for the kids too with wacky tacos and crazy quesadillas, it's a great way to get some new tastes and flavours into their diet and it definitely won't disappoint. But, don't worry there is also pizza, burgers and chicken if it's 'one of those days'.
Their dessert menu is small but irresistible! With their ever famous churros and up to SIX dips for dunking or add a little party into your ice cream with their Pina Colada flavour. 3. Joe's Kitchen Next up is the wonderfully welcoming Joe's Kitchen. Their quirky atmosphere and décor provides a relaxed and casual space to hang out with friends and family. Their dinner menu has everything, from small dishes like honey, oregano and red chilli marinated halloumi to sharing platters, if you're not that hungry! Their mains have a range of flavours and cuisines as well as some classics like Fish and Chips.
But their menu is more than just dinner. They also serve up a delicious breakfast full of pancakes, fresh coffee and an array of cooked eggs! Let's not forget their famous smoothies and shakes and in this weather, what better way to cool down?
Their produce is all freshly made and transformed into creative dishes with daily specials always on offer! Of course, kids menus are available still using their fresh produce but with a more child friendly feel and the opportunity to build your own burger so they can create it perfectly to suit their tastes.
Before or after your meal why not take advantage of the nearby attractions such as
St Paul's Cathedral, where you can explore over 1,400 years' worth of history, wander around the inspiring interior and see the famous dome roof up-close.
Shakespeare's Globe is just across Millennium Bridge and is showing classics such as Othello and Hamlet, so make a day of it with a show! The talent and authenticity of the actors will grip your attention from start to finish.

4. Loop
Loop bar is a little different to the others, as its menu is fairly small but still has everything you need!
With more of a bar atmosphere it's perfect for friends and colleagues looking for somewhere to meet and relax after work. It's got a great combination of food, drinks and atmosphere to start the weekend off.
Their food menu has a choice of filling mains like, burgers, salads and pasta, sandwiches with chips or salad, sides and a few little desserts! We have to admit although the menu is small we can't decide what we would have!
First food then… Party! Once you get there you'll be having such a great time you won't want to leave! So it's lucky that downstairs they have a dancefloor ready for you and your pals to dance the night away. Their quirky decorations and dark decadence makes for the perfect backdrop for you and your friends to enjoy an amazing evening. Whether you want to listen to some classics in the Groovy room or the more modern tunes in the Opal or even a bit of both then you can. Simple as that.
If you've spent a day exploring London then this is a great venue, as it's in such a convenient location just off Oxford Street.
Madame Tussauds is just a short walk away, so if you've been wandering around the fantastically detailed wax works, looking at some of your favourite celebs or royals then head to Loop Bar after, for dinner!
It’s just a short tube stop away from the river Thames which is host to some of the best attractions in the city. With the likes of the
London Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Sea Life, London Dungeons and
Buckingham Palace which are all within a short distance from each other and are a great place to explore.

5. Planet Hollywood
Most of you will have heard of Planet Hollywood before, due to its celebrity status. When it launched in New York in 1991 it had the backing of celebs such as Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, which made the buzz around the restaurant pretty big. London Haymarket has a vibrant atmosphere with a traditional American theme. The menu boasts similar with dishes such as burgers, wings, sharing platters, grilled dishes, pizza, sandwiches and hot dogs! The portions are big, the choices are wide and the food is of the best quality… What more could you want?
They have a wide range of Hollywood themed cocktails, like the Titanic and The Dark knight. I’m tempted just by the name! Aside from the cocktails, they have everything from wine, beer, prosecco, spirits and of course, soft drinks.
They haven’t forgotten about the kids either with a menu especially created with them in mind. There are mini portions of all the dishes kids love like, spaghetti and meatballs, cheeseburgers, fish goujons, mac and cheese and more. They’ve also included an unlimited soda deal for them so they can reenergise before anymore exploring!
While you’re in the area, why not head down towards Buckingham Palace to see the Royal Changing of the Guard before lunch? It’s only a short walk away and is a real tradition in London. If you fancy learning some more about the history of England, then nearby is the Churchill War Rooms where you can find out about the man himself and how he got the iconic status he holds today. Also nearby are many theatres showing some of the most famous musicals so why not make the day extra special and go and see a show!?
