Very good trip, large comfortable and warm boat, although the crew are not professional tour guides (they're licensed Watermen) the commentary was very natural and given by a Cockney with a great sense of humour, it had history and lots of snippets of information. If you are visiting the Shard and then doing the river tour it's worth knowing that City Cruises are on the north side of the river at Tower Millennium Pier a short walk from Tower Hill Tube (Thames Clippers are on the south side near HMS Belfast). There wasn't sufficient information in the time tables to assess total travel times eg. from Tower Pier to Greenwich the boat waits for 30 minutes at Greenwich Pier, to Westminster Pier allow about 1hr 10m including the stop at Tower pier. Once again Discount London are excellent, good value and pre booked tickets make life easy.

We enjoyed the trip with a good view of major sites in London from Westminster to Greenwich. There was a lively commentary by a member of the crew, giving interesting information about places on the way.

Although the queue was veeeery long to finally board, it was so much worth it! Amazing, friendly and knowledgeable staff,simply wonderful. Reasonable price & the joy of staying on board as long as we wanted. A day never to forget! THANK YOU!

Had a fab day cruising up and down the Thames but make sure you allow plenty of time to collect your tickets at the kiosk as it can take a while at busy times.

I was a bit affraid because I was traveling with a disabled but the staff was really helpfull and there was enough space for every one also during the summer holidays. It was really great.

Took my Australia relative on this trip all the way down to greenwich and back. She loved it and we thougt the trip was great value. The commentator was really informative and quite funny at times. Woulld most cartainly do this trip again if more of my Australian friends/relatives were to visit London.

I book this for my dad, who visiting from Sydney Australia. He really enjoyed & found the service excellent. He didn't have his tickets printed out but customer service assisted him so that he was still able to use his ticket. He loved seeing London from the boat & found it so easy getting on & off at the different peirs. He said the tour guide on the boat was very entertaining & informative!

As it is hop on and hop off we need not take the tube trains :) If you plan it well then you can get into the cruise to avoid any delay
