The London Dungeon puts on an equally brutal show with the help twenty live actors and brand new scripts that tell the tales of some of London's most notorious characters. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel our trip to The Tower Of London and The London dungeons. We had purchased our tickets through Discount London.com but I have to say they were absolutely brilliant and totally understanding and refunded us our money back. We had to pay a 20% surcharge which was stated in the terms and conditions. We hope to go again soon and I will definitely be booking through this company again. First Class customer service.

I've been in The Dungeon before but this time was slightly different which made it better for me. Tower of London was an interesting place to visit.

Tower of London & London Dungeon

Great experience! Especially the Tower of London with the Yeoman introducing us to its history. I would re-visit it if I go to London again. London Dungeon was also good, a totally different thing to the Tower though. It was more like a walking-through interactive theatre. I saw guys hiding behind their girlfriends!

Excellent day out

Both the Tower and Dungeon were excellent! There is the option of a formal tour of approx one hour at the Tower, but because there was clearly so much to see and the Tower was a much bigger and more open space than I had visualised, we walked around on our own and enjoyed a 12.00 noon enactment with some audience participation, putting across in simplified terms for kids (not at all babyish though) the story of past invasions of the Tower. Great actors and good entertainment. After spending 2.5 hours at the Tower, we took the Thames Clipper riverboat to the London Eye pier. All very easy with the purchased-in-advance tickets. This ride took about 20 minutes. I bought a River Roamer ticket for hopping on and off throughout the day, but for the time we had, the cost wasn't worth it especially as I had to take the tube from Waterloo to get it validated at the Tower pier ticket office before I could use it, which wasn't convenient. I would have bought single fares which I could readily use at the London Eye pier without validation if I had known first (any small print was very small). The London Eye pier is just a 2-mins walk to the London Dungeon. The Dungeon tour (approx 1.5 hours) was great fun, with great actors. We had to evacuate half-way through, and were re-admitted 15 minutes later with no explanation for the alarm sounding, but we carried on where we left off. A really excellent tour for all ages.

Good Day

Had a great day with the tickets purchased. Easy to book in at the attraction no hassle and a great price.

Fantastic day out

Beefeater Dave was entertaining, informative and very funny on our tour around the Tower, give yourself a good few hours to look and read about the history, I would definitely recommend. The Dungeons (now situated next to the London Eye) are interesting and also a must see. Not what I expected at all! Good fun. A little warning for those with a heart condition or back problems listen to what the staff advise!!!

Very good

Well worth a visit to both attractions! The Dungeon went down a treat with my 11 year old son.

Tower and dungeons.

Visited London Tower on Saturday. A fascinating day of pure history in a wonderful setting. The beefeater tour is a must, and seeing the Crown Jewels was the icing on the cake. On Sunday we visited The Dungeons. Absolutely brilliant. 1.5 hours of value and the actors were excellent. The whole dungeon experience was very realistic and was like stepping back in time. The free fall ride at the end rounded the visit off in style. I'd recommend both of these to people, you won't be disappointed, in fact you'll love it ! :)

Our weekend in London

The London Dungeon - slightly overpriced but well worth the experience. I had been to the dungeon as a child when it was back on Tooley Street. Now on South Bank it has completely changed! Its not so much as a museum now but more like an theatrical experience. Some actors are better than others but all do very well in making your experience as fun and as climatic as possible. My partner and I planned on doing both the dungeon and Tower in one day however after the London Dungeon we arrived at the Tower a little before 3pm and were told that it would be much better to return the next day. Thinking that our tickets had to be used on that day the woman at the ticket counter kindly explained that they would be more than happy to allow us to return up to a week later no questions asked(even though we returned the next day). The Tower is stunning and breathtaking and the Yeoman Warders offer great insight into the history of the entire grounds. We were also lucky enough to be toured by the famous Yeoman Warder (Beefeater) Bill Callaghan. What an extra bonus for an already great day out!

A great day out

We got to the dungeons at 10.45 am and walked straight in using the tickets we printed off. An entertaining and insight into the olden days. We got to the Tower of London at 2.30pm and what a facinating collection of armoury and jewels. However we ran out of time to see everything as the gates closed at 5pm. We would definitely use discount London to plan our outings next time.
